What is hashish? 🧱
Hashish — hash — is a concentrate made by collecting and pressing the resin glands (trichomes) of the cannabis plant into a solid block. Because it is almost pure resin, hash is significantly more potent than the flowers it comes from. Spliff’s version is built on THCX, our legal cannabinoid: traditional texture and aromas, modern legal formula.
What is THCX hash? 🌿
THCX hash applies traditional hash-making to a legal cannabinoid: hemp resin enriched with up to 60% THCX, with THC kept below 0.3% and laboratory analysis on every batch. You get the texture, the melt and the intensity of a premium hash — Piatella, Static, Kashmir, Beldia — with none of the legal exposure of classic hashish.
Is hash legal in the UK and Europe? 🚫
Classic hash is not — it is a cannabis product, controlled in the UK and across Europe. THCX hash is built differently: its active ingredient is a legal hemp-derived cannabinoid and its THC content stays below 0.3%, which is why we can ship it openly across Europe with lab reports to back it up. Same ritual, entirely different legal standing.
How do you smoke hash? 🔥
Warm a small piece until it crumbles, then either mix it into a joint, smoke it pure in a pipe or bong, or vaporise it at around 190°C for the cleanest flavour. What is hashish made of? 🧬
Only the resin. Trichomes are separated from the plant — by dry-sifting, by hand-rubbing (charas), or with ice water (Ice-O-Lator) — then pressed and sometimes cold-cured into a block. No solvents are involved in traditional methods. The technique used defines the texture and flavour, which is why a Piatella and a Beldia feel like two different worlds.
Is hashish stronger than weed? 💪
Generally, yes. Hash is concentrated resin, so gram for gram it carries far more active ingredients than flowers — our THCX hash reaches 60% where THCX flowers top out around half that. The effect hits harder and lasts longer. If you are moving from flowers to hash, halve your usual quantity and build up from there.
Can you eat hashish? 🍴
Yes, but not raw: hash must be heated (decarboxylated) and mixed into fat — butter, oil — before your body can absorb it in food. How should you store hash? 📦
Airtight, cool and dark — a glass jar in a cupboard is perfect for classic pressed hash. Soft, cold-cured hash like Piatella is more delicate: keep it refrigerated in its sealed container and take out only what you use. Heat and light degrade both potency and terpenes. Stored well, hash keeps its character for many months.
