Afghan hash the way it has always been pressed in the Hindu Kush, taken up to 60% THCX: a very dark chocolate-brown slab, greasy, sticky and pliable, with a deep profile of damp earth, bitter cocoa and roasted wood.
Pressed, not sieved. That is what sets it apart from the rest of the range. The paste is greasy, sticky and soft: the warmth of your fingers is enough to loosen it, and it works under the thumb without ever breaking into powder, closer to a Nepalese than to a dry slab. You pinch off small pieces, which stays the simplest way to dose a 60 %.
Same family, half the strength: Black Afghan 30 %. Another 60 %, spicier: Kashmir Hash 60 %. What THCX at 60 % changes is covered in the guide, and the THCX hash range holds the rest of the selection.

An earthy, deep attack with no sweetness. Bitter cocoa, roasted coffee, dry wood, and a peppery edge on the finish. A dark, honest profile that stays readable even in very small amounts.
A raw, enveloping nose: damp earth, roasted cocoa, old wood, with an animalic trace on opening. The warmth of your fingers brings out a soft, almost resinous smoke.
A very dark chocolate brown, almost black on the pressed face, warmer on the break. Greasy, sticky, pliable material in the spirit of a Nepalese: it softens with the warmth of your fingers and works under the thumb, without ever crumbling to powder.
